Mike Germano

My entire adult life I have served Clients or Constituents. I am motivated when people say "you can't do that" or "Mike you really should never do that" or "Mike that may actually violate the Geneva Convention"

My 3 biggest fears: 1. Rules 2. Flying 3. Young Republicans

I realize that when I have a kid there will be a new person that will provide the needed peer pressure to make me do stupid things.

This weekend Victoria and I spent quality time with the family and extra fun time with my niece. I gave myself the nickname Uncle Captain Fun which she has kinda likes. But she calls me Michaelsaurus since I act like T-Rex and eat her stuffed animals. I like that one. Victoria has one of her nice recaps below. It was all great but wanted to highlight my fence climb. See I wanted to unlock the gate so we could play in the park. The only way was jumping the fence. As Victoria was yelling at me to get down. Cora was jumping up and down telling me to go higher. My wife was providing a very rational argument about why I should get down, but my 2 year old Niece seemed to encourage me with her chanting. It makes me wonder when I have kids will I be a bad influence on them, or will they be a bad influence on me.

We spent exactly 24 hours at home with my family in NJ this weekend. For a handful of reasons, it’s been very important recently that we spend some good, quality time just being together.

My sister is six months pregnant so Michael and I volunteered to take my niece to the park for a bit so everyone could get some rest. We had fun playing on the playground and climbing fences and going to the library. When we were too cold to stay outside anymore, we hopped back into the car (I had to drive my sister’s minivan, you guys! so weird) and ran a few errands. Since aunts are allowed to push the envelope and spoil nieces a little bit, we got a green ballon that Cora loved and then treated her to her very first Slurpee. It was blueberry flavored and had her running around in circles for hours, but it was so worth it!

We made pizza for dinner and watched Hook and drank red wine and played with Play-Doh and snuggled. Best 24 hours I’ve spent in a long time.
